A frequent flyer program is a loyalty program offered by airline and travel companies. Core of this program is a comprehensive suite of business applications for managing loyalty programs. Usually, airline and travel customers enrolled in the program accumulate frequent flyer miles (kilometers, points, segments) corresponding to the distance flown on that airline or its partners, but there are other ways to collect miles. Sometimes miles were awarded for using specified debt and credit cards. Collected miles can be exchanged for free air travel or for other travel benefits, like airport lounge access, travel class upgrades or priority bookings.
